Chasing Ice

The unique sport of Fenland ice skating is being celebrated in our brand new television documentary to be broadcast nationally from this Friday. The 30 minute television special about Fen Skating is titled Chasing Ice: The Fen Skating Story and tells of the origins of the fenland landscape, its influence on the creation of the unique sport of Fen Skating and of the characters that sustain it to this day.

Fen Centre (the Fen Skating association) commissioned Cambridge Filmworks to produce Chasing Ice: The Fen Skating Story to promote Fen Skating Heritage and its links with the Ouse Washes. The project was funded through a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund grant-aided Ouse Washes Landscape Partnership.
