Now in their 12th year, the Green Gown Awards recognise the exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges across the UK. With sustainability moving up the agenda, the Awards have become established as the most prestigious recognition of best practice within the tertiary education sector.

This year Cambridge Filmworks have teamed up with the University of Cambridge to produced two films highlighting sustainability initiatives within the University. In this first film we meet Environment and Energy Coordinator Nan Taplin to learn about her extraordinary work.
